A message to those Christian Rock :( people

I'm finding out that a few of the bands that I've liked in the passed actually are "Christian Rock" bands. I'm sorry but that totally puts a wet rag on everything! Who the hell wants to listen to a song that is about loving some dead guy?
I know I don't like it.
And I know that it's all up to the listener's interpretation of the music and what ever, but seriously!!! Coouldn't they just keep their un-dying love for this dude a secret? It's scientfically proven that the mention of Jesus Christ in songs gather's very negative responses.
And if these bands knew what was good for their career, they wouldn't mention it. Only crazy people living in Idaho appreciate that kinda music.
Basically, the general public (a.k.a. ME) is more interested in Sadistic hatful music, so please! stick a cork in it!

It's such a turn off when a love song is to jesus.

Hey man some christian songs are about killing demons and shit!
And yeh really, aren't they christian bands just cuz they are christian?
And the largest religion in the world is christian, so if those bands aren't cool enough for the rest of the world, the christians will be the next target.

what I;m trying to say is I dont like the vibe I get after I hear that this n this band is a christian band and then their whole image just totally changes. i hate hearing about a song that I previously had my own interpretation to, is actually about fucking jesus christ. that;s not cool.
not to bash any christian's out there (actually, i'm just gunna go ahead and bash ya'll) but that's really not what I or anyone else really wants to hear.

did I get my point across??

Haha

I can see where you are coming from here.

Very little "Family" music was ever my style, but the occaisional tune was cathcy. (I liked some Salt Of Earth and a few Sealed songs). But the message was ALWAYS so full on, the listening just got to be so much more than I could stomach out of one song. Music is supposed to be useful when you just want everyone to shut up and when you find that even the song is preaching a sermon, it can make you wanna scream. I think they would be better off to strike more of a balance in the themes of their songs and not limit them to fighting demons/loving Jesus/yielding. Honestly, are there ANY family songs about anything else? (And whenever a someone writes a song with a lighter message, it ends up in the Micellaneous setion on the MO site because it doesn't reek of message... and ALL the songs supposedly should.)

Also, Joel and Benji Madden are supposedly strong Christians, yet they are not regarded as a "Christian band". Doesn't matter though, because I think their music is garbage.

And I am saying al of this as someone who believes in Jesus the person, and actually thinks about Him in a personal every single day.
